James Laybourn is the Regional Sales Director for DNV Energy Systems in Asia Pacific covering a wide range of services to the energy industry including O&G, Renewables, and Power Grids. In addition to this, he directly leads the hydrogen and CCUS business segment. He has worked as a manager and consultant in DNV for over 15 years with extensive experience working as a multi-disciplinary consultant within the upstream and midstream markets in Europe, Australia and Asia. He is experienced in performing design engineering and verification studies, with particular focus on floating systems, floating LNG, and transport & installation projects. He has acted as a project manager for a range of large consulting projects and has facilitated numerous HAZID and risk assessment workshops. He has also managed feasibility and market studies in APAC. James is currently coordinating and driving a number of early stage engagements in hydrogen across Asia Pacific.
