Dr Akhomdeth Vongsay

Dr Akhomdeth VONGSAY has worked in the Lao Power sector for more than 18 years. During his career, he has been involved in project financing of several IPPs that are now supplying electricity to neighboring Country for instant: Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and several others are under construction. Following his earlier, he graduated with Electrical Engineering in bachelor degree and MBA in Australia. In 2015 he graduated the doctoral degree from Kunming University, China and National University of Lao’s joining program. Presently, Dr Akomdeth VONGSAY is the Director General of Department of Planning and Cooperation, Ministry of Energy and Mines Lao PDR and he also looks after the work which related to ASEAN Energy as senior officials in charge.
