Christian Krebs heads investment and development in Asia Pacific (APAC) for Aquila Capital. Along with his team members in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and New Zealand, he is responsible for the deal origination, evaluation, structuring, acquisition, and financing of Aquila Capital’s renewable energy projects in the region.

Christian has more than 20 years’ experience in international finance, treasury, advisory and project finance. He started his career in Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB) working in power and resource related financing in Europe, the Middle East and Russia. He also spent time on their infrastructure team, worked in liquidity and funding following the global financial crisis and headed the derivative team for shipping and aircraft before returning to renewables-related project finance in 2014.

Prior to joining Aquila Capital, Christian worked at the boutique Australian advisory firm Energy Estate where he advised clients on structuring large renewable transactions and led M&A activities for solar assets in Australia, Japan and Germany.

He holds a degree of Economics from Welfenakademie, Germany.
