Atchariya Jangchay is an Engineer for Division of Energy Regulation and Conservation, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE), Ministry of Energy of Thailand. He is in charge for administrating and providing financial support for energy conservation as specified by law. His expertise includes Energy Management, Standard and Labeling, and Green Building. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer from Naresuan University, Thailand and a master’s degree in Energy Management from New York Institute of Technology, USA.
Atchariya started his career at Siemens Limited (Thailand), Mobility Division career as a maintenance engineer, his work involves checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures for the MRT Blue Line Subway (Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand - MRTA). After that he joined the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) in Jakarta, Indonesia as a Technical officer for ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) with the functions of development, coordination, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, score carding, and reporting with regards to programs and projects in line with the priorities of the ASEAN Ministers of Energy Meeting / Senior Officials Meeting on Energy. He went back to Thailand to join the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), Ministry of Transport as an Engineer in the Division of Transport and Traffic Systems Development, He responsible for Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and Universal Design for elderly and disability projects before joining the DEDE, Ministry of Energy of Thailand.
